Port-de-la-Meule : Michelin's recommendations

Tucked into an inlet on the Côte Sauvage to the west of the Île d’Yeu is this lobster fishermen’s haven. Up on dry land, the 11C Chapelle Notre Dame de Bonne Nouvelle overlooks the port. Each year on Easter Monday, the locals converge here in pilgrimage. Follow the coast to reach the Trembling Rock, a 7m rock rising above the waves which, if pushed in the right place, can be made to move.
