The romantic ruins of the late-13C Château des Duras tower above the Dropt Valley. The building retains fine features such as a crenellated surrounding wall, 14C-15C living quarters pierced with mullioned windows and a 15C main tower with splendid palm vaulting. During the course of the visit, do not miss the climb to the top of the 30m-high round keep, offering a fine view of the surrounding countryside.
