In the cliff next to the chapel are galleries formerly used as a necropolis, as evidenced by the numerous tombs hollowed out of the rock. The main part was later transformed into a charnel house: a hole can be seen in the central cupola into which the bones from the cemetery at the top of the cliff were cast. Note the impressive representation of the Resurrection of the dead on this cupola.
