Oléron Island Museum : Michelin's recommendations

On display in this museum of local crafts and traditions is a reconstruction of a local kitchen complete with figures in costume. There is also a collection of local seashells and displays about the island’s economic activities (oyster farming, agriculture, viticulture and fishing). A section is dedicated to the writer Pierre Loti and there is an 1867 model of the famous Fort Boyard.
