Bruniquel : Michelin's recommendations

The village of Bruniquel is crowned by a château – actually an old castle dating back to the 12C and a second, Renaissance- style seignorial castle – perched on a cliff in a magical site near the Gorges de l’Aveyron. The old town is a maze of steep little streets, old drystone houses and vestiges of the fortifications – a wonderful place for strolling around and daydreaming. There are some good hikes to be had in the surrounding area.
