Situated 680m up in the heart of the Haute Margeride, this village is known as “the pearl of the Truyère Valley”. Remains of its 14C walls (including the Sangues Gate), old houses with corner towers, and the rushing River Truyère make for a charming scene. Its population of 1 000 increases fivefold in summer, as visitors arrive to discover the verdant delights of the Malzieu and Haute Margeride regions.
