This spectacular cable-stayed viaduct was designed by English architect Lord Foster. The elegant structure has seven concrete supports, a metallic roadway and seven steel pylons. At 2 460m long and 343m above the Tarn at its highest point, the viaduct holds the world record for its height. It has been in service since December 2004.
