Montolieu : Michelin's recommendations

Overlooking the confluence of the River Dure and the River Alzeau, Montolieu is proud to be known at the village of the book. Built of Cabardès drystone, this settlement is enlivened by the presence of around twenty bookshops and dealers (some English-speaking), craftsmen specialising in graphic arts (bookbinders, copyists, calligraphers and engravers), and an interesting book museum encompassing differing scripts, writing accessories (from parchment to paper), printing equipment etc.
