This vast architectural complex is the work of the Catalan architect, Ricardo Bofill, known for his neo-Classical pastiches. Entablatures, pediments, pilasters and columns give this housing development, with its apartments and municipal facilities, a monumental aspect. Buildings include the Lez Polygone, stretching for 1km, the “Échelles de la Ville” and the Hôtel de Région (regional administration offices), whose glass walls reflect in the River Lez (the Juvénal harbour basin).
