Aspin Pass offers a sweeping panorama in spite of its lower altitude compared to the three other major passes on the Route des Pyrénées between Eaux-Bonnes and Bagnères-de-Luchon (Aubisque, Tourmalet, Peyresourde). The position of the massifs, and the contrast between their snowy heights and bluish forests create a powerful experience. The road descends rapidly, going from an altitude of 1,489m to 704m in 12.5km. The view to the right looks down on the village of Aspin huddling in a little valley.
