Nonza Travel guide
Nonza : Michelin's recommendations
Nonza is a former medieval stronghold that was resurrected by Pascal Paoli in 1758. It literally clings to the face of the cliff, which looks out over the incredibly blue waters of the sea, and is topped with a green schist wall tower. The rocky slope leads down to a vast pebble beach. Wander through the little streets and go down the 160 steps that take you to the Fontaine Ste-Julie and a lovely view of the village. Be warned that this attractive village gets very busy in summer, making parking spaces hard to come by.
