This museum is exclusively dedicated to the history of navigation on the Seine River: ports, commercial exchanges, shipbuilding and crossings. Customs and traditions are also recalled. One of them is the strange tidal wave or bore, a phenomenon in which a steep-fronted wave moves upstream in the estuary. An exhibition of wooden boats serve as an introduction to the visit.
