As its name suggests the City of the Sea is a centre dedicated to all things maritime. The exhibition space (1500m²/1800yd²) is divided into two areas. The first, focusing on the Ocean and its treasures, houses an aquarium (more than 10m/27ft high), pools and thematic presentations on sealife, diving and marine archaeology. The second explores the world of submarines and includes a visit of the Redoutable, France's first nuclear submarine. Visitors will discover a fascinating universe explained through simulators and interactive exercises.
