Dieppe Castle, with its alternate flint and sandstone walls, is supported by a large cylindrical tower, a vestige of the fortifications that defended the town in the 14C. It was the Governors' residence and a stronghold of resistance against English domination as early as the Middle Ages. From the top of the towers is a view over the town and the sea.
