Pays de Caux Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
The Pays de Caux, so dear to Maupassant who came from here, owes its renown to its imposing coastline of splendid white chalk cliffs and lively resorts. From Dieppe to Le Havre via the Alabaster coast, Fécamp and Étretat it is "an uninterrupted cliff, some 100m high and straight as a wall" (Maupassant). Inland, it has a rich architectural heritage. Manors, castles, half-timbered cottages and dovecotes in polychrome materials incorporating wattle and daub, brick, sandstone and flint.
