Begun in the 12C, construction of the building continued until the 16C: despite the variety of styles, the whole ensemble is harmonious, especially inside where the clear bare walls are a backdrop for the beautiful architectural and sculptural décor. Note the large stained-glass window in shades of grey in the lateral chapel to the right of the chancel, the fine spiral staircase by Jean Grappin and the monumental late-16C Tree of Jesse in the chapel below the south tower.
