It is made up of three sections. The Marine Museum, the Ethnography and Popular Art Museum and the Deserted Manor. The Marine Museum recalls the port's history and its maritime activities: fishing, privateering, trade and shipyards. There are also many ship models and topographical documents of the town. The Ethnographical and Popular Arts Museum displays the inside of some ten 16C dwellings. There is a wide variety of objects on exhibition: furniture, pewterware, costumes, etc.
