This stud specialises in the Normandy cob, the trotting horse and the French saddle horse. There are eight stable blocks around a central courtyard which contain about 100 stallions.

Opposite the modern tower the prison has become a monument to the memory of the victims of Nazism. In the centre the charming and graceful statue of the Normandy milkmaid by Pierre Derbré indicates that life goes on.

From the history of Tapestry ( Tapestry of the Loves of Gombault and Macée , eight earthy panels from the end of the 16C) to contemporary tapestries represented by Picart le Doux and et Jean Lurçat .

The oldest district in the town situated in the upper part. It contains the Prefecture and the administration services contained in a vast civil architectural project from after the war.

This is at the end of the spur on which the town is built. There is an attractive view over the Vire and Bocage valleys.

This building is the result of a joint Franco-American initiative. At its entrance, a giant mosaic by Fernand Léger celebrates the spirit of friendship of the Allies.
