Vendeuvre Castle is a characteristic example of 18C architecture. Inside, decorated and furnished rooms recall family life in the past. In the dining room, facing the setting sun as was the custom, the table is covered with a linen cloth bearing the family's coat of arms. The Great Drawing Room is adorned with carved wood panelling; games which were popular in the 18C are represented by a tric-trac (early form of backgammon) table and a game of lotto. The tour also includes the chambre d'Honneur (ceremonial reception room), the Pastels drawing room, the smoking room, the kitchens and the gardens.
