The Sailors' Cross stands in the place of a Roman lighthouse that was destroyed in the 17th C. The calvary and chapel both suffered the same fate, with the retreat of the cliff. It was rbuilt near a new chapel in 1996 in the shape of a boat. From the edge of the calvary and the neighbouring blockhaus platform, there is a lovely view of the beach, Nausicaa and the channel entrance.
