Maison de la Beurière Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

This folk museum is housed in one of the last period buildings (1870) still standing in the former seamen's district, once known as "la Beurière", which was almost completely destroyed by allied bombing during the Second World War. It contains the living quarters of a seaman and his family around 1900, consisting of 30sq m/323sq ft for around 15 people: Flemish furniture, stove with a wide opening, religious objects, fishing tackle, display devoted to daily life activities and to the seamen's dialect and customs, media library revealing Boulogne at the time of the Belle-Epoque.
