Château-Thierry : Michelin's recommendations

Situated on either side of the Marne, the City of Chateau-Thierry, a champagne city as the vineyards prove, is justifiably proud of having given birth to the most well-known poet in France, the storyteller Jean de la Fontaine. There are very few remains of the old city whose Chateau was razed to the ground leaving only a simple walk. At Chateau-Thierry you can go for pleasant trips along the Marne Valley, or more stirring walks through the sites of the First World War.
