This museum contains two sections: Fine Arts, the collections in which mainly concern ancient painting (Anchin polyptych, by Bellegambe), but where the amazing relief plan of Douai, from the 18th century, is also displayed; and that of Archaeology and Natural Sciences, notably tracing the evolution of human kind from the Palaeolithic epoch to 400 A.D., with an aquarium.
