The entrance façade boasts a central gate with severe lines. On the first floor the audience room known as the Grand Parliament room is decorated with a huge marble fireplace, Louis XV sculpted wood carvings, a portrait of Louis XIV and allegorical 18th century canvases. In the old prisons overlooking the Scarpe (of which Vidocq was a restless inhabitant) are exhibition rooms.
