Originally a small chapel built towards the end of the 11C on grounds belonging to Philippe I, the rest of Notre-Dame-d'Auvers was constructed between the 11C and 13C. This little church was immortalised by Van Gogh and from then on became known world-wide. The radiance and liveliness of its colours and its sinuous forms liven up this monument which was perfectly captured by Van Gogh in his painting, which can be seen at Paris' Musée d’Orsay.
