National Renaissance Museum
: Michelin's recommendations
The Musée National de la Renaissance is partly made up of the Renaissance collections of the Musée de Cluny in Paris. It houses a remarkable selection of works from the 16C to the early 17C, giving pride of place to the decorative arts: furniture, wood panelling, tapestries and embroideries, ceramics, enamels, principally from France, Italy and the former Netherlands. Among the tapestries, the wall hanging depicting the Story of David and Bathsheba (75m long and dating from the 16C) is particularly remarkable.
