Rueil-Malmaison : Michelin's recommendations
Rueil, once called by the old name of «Ruel», is well known as the site of the residence of Napoleon Bonaparte and Josephine who spent some happy times here. They were married in 1796 and acquired the 260ha estate of Malmaison in 1799 where no expense was spared to satisfy Josephine's whims. It is also a reminder of the sad divorce of the couple and the death of Josephine on 29 May 1814.

Church of St Peter and St Paul
