House of Jardies (House of Leon Gambetta) : Michelin's recommendations
Gambetta, commemorated with a statue by Bartholdi, lived and died in this modest gardener's house on the Jardies estate, owned by Balzac. The latter painstakingly tried to grow pineapples here. Corot also lived in this house.
