Located on the charming place Émile-Goudeau, named after the founder of the Club des Hydropathes, Bâteau-Lavoir is today a copy which houses artists' lodgings and studios. The original, destroyed by a fire in 1970, had received in the early 20C Picasso, Braque, Joan Gris, Max Jacob, Apollinaire. A creative fervent from which cubism and a new form of poetic expression were to arise.
