Located at the southern entrance to the Parc de la Villette and designed by Christian de Portzamparc, this music complex extends either side of the Fontaine aux Lions, and is home to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse, and the inspiring Musée de la Musique. The latter, which includes a collection of around 1 000 instruments, provides an introduction into the history of music from around the world, from Italian baroque to contemporary sounds.
