Built on the orders of Philippe le Bel in 1306, this is the oldest quay in Paris. It was here that assignats, the predecessors of bank notes, were produced. Two mansions, one at n° 51, now the Lapérouse restaurant, the other, the former Hôtel Feydeau-Montholon at n° 34, date back to the 17C.
