Although some specialist shops have closed over the years (to be replaced by fashion boutiques), this street is still lined by furniture stores, cabinet makers and upholsterers, upholding the tradition of great cabinet makers such as Boulle, Cressent and Riesener. Stroll through its passageways (Bel-Air, l'Etoile d'Or, les Trois-Frères, l'Ours etc) and inner shaded courtyards to views artisans and artists at work. Admire also the pretty Trogneux fountain on the corner of rue de Charonne.
