Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, a long avenue which starts at rue Royale and ends on the right-hand side of Place des Ternes, is renowned for the elegance of its hotels and the luxurious appearance of its boutiques. A stroll along it also reveals antique shops, art galleries, perfumeries, fashion and shoe designers, in addition to the Republican guards who protect the French President. The fashion house of Paul Poiret (1879-1944) once occupied the building at n° 107.
