This superb, tranquil bay of translucent water is home to a few red stone houses, a gîte and some restaurants. Three wooden landing stages enable boats to moor along the pebble beach. The village of Girolata, one of the stopping places along the Mare e Monti footpath, can only be reached by the sea or by footpaths. A mule track leaves from the Col de la Croix to the southeast (around 1hr 45min to get there) or from the Col de Palmarella further north.
