Pigna
: Michelin's recommendations
Pigna is one of those charming villages that make the Balagne region so popular, including with artists and craftsmen. Perched upon a hillock surrounded by olive groves and overlooking the bay of Algajola, Pigna's steep little streets, with cobbles or steps, all branch off from the church. This animated little maze of streets is best negotiated on foot since you would be hard pressed to get lost, but you will certainly come across plenty of points of interest. After a period of decline, this charming medieval village has become a symbol of the resurgence of Corsica's craft and music traditions.
