Porto Vecchio's main thoroughfare is cours Napoléon, all around which are clustered little streets linked by steps, and vaulted passages. In the centre, the shady Place de la République has lively cafés with outdoor tables. The elegant bell tower and chevet of Église St-Jean-Baptiste, which gives onto Place de la République, contrasts with the unfinished Classical façade, of this building constructed from the 16C to the 19C.
