Musée Granet
: Michelin's recommendations
The museum presents its collection in chronological order. In so doing it brings to the forefront the work of early Renaissance painters along with, among others, Flemish painters of the 17C and 18C (Rubens, Rembrandt) and Italian painters. There are sections dedicated to the French schools of the 17C and 19C (Rigaud, Largillière, Greuze, Géricault), the Aix-born artist Claude Arnulphy, and Provençal artists Mignard, Puget and Constantin, leader of the Provençal school of landscape painting. The Granet room pays homage to the painter of the same name, and to Ingres. Finally the museum ushers in 21C art, with the collection "From Cézanne to Giacometti".
