Beneath the plane trees you can see a statue of Frédéric Mistral and, just behind, the two Corinthian columns on the façade of the mythical Hotel Nord Pinus, vestiges of the façade of a 2C temple. In summer, the café terraces on the square are bustling: Tambourin, popular with the locals, and Van Gogh, whose namesake never actually set foot inside but which is a reconstruction of his famous painting of Café Terrace on the Place du Forum.
