Maurice Chevalier and Mistinguett, Raimu and Fernandel, Yves Montand (who debuted here) and Johnny Hallyday faced the boisterous Marseille public at this venue before it closed down in 1964. It stood idle for years, before being renovated, and now houses the library Grande Bibliothèque de Marseille.
