This museum dedicated to Mediterranean archaeology houses objects from Egypt, from the beginning of the Old Kingdom (2700 BC) to the Coptic era (3C-4C AD), from the Near East Cyprus, Greece and Magna Græcia, Etruria and Rome, as well as Celto-Ligurian pieces, such as the remarkable two-headed Hermes, found during digs at the Roquepertuse oppidum, located north of Vitrolles.
