The archaeological museum is remarkably evocative of daily life in Gallo-Roman times: religion, living quarters, ceramics, glassware, arms, tools, jewels, clothes, and so on. The magnificent white marble statues of Emperors Claudius (AD 43), Domitian (AD 81-96), Hadrian (AD 121) and his wife Sabine are particularly impressive. Other noteworthy works include a marble laureled head of Apollo (2C AD), the silver bust of a patrician (3C AD) and mosaics from the Villa du Paon found at the site (villa closed to the public).
