From Ponte Nuovo, the D 5 snakes up the mountainside, offering wonderful views of the chaotic screes of the verdant valley below, and the peaks on the horizon. At the entrance to Lento, turn left onto the D 105. The village of Canavaggia stands out from the jagged line of Mt Reghia di Pozzo. Suddenly, from a bend in the road 1km from Costa Roda, a view opens up over the snowy mountains and Monte San Petrone. As you continue along the steep and winding road down towards Ponte Leccia, the Golo River reappears. Fine views.
