The Breton-Vendée Marais Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

The marshland of the Marais Breton-Vendéen extends from Bourgneuf à St-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and has dried out a little over the centuries, initially thanks to the work of monks and then (in the 17C) Dutch engineers. The saline marshes around Bourgneuf and Beauvoir gradually became farmland grazed by Vendée horses, cattle and sheep. The area is known for its traditional Maraîchins culture, best explored by visiting the Marais Breton-Vendée Ecomuseum in Barre-de-Monts.

    Cette page n'a rien à faire en ce lieu. Le marais breton-vendéen est au sud de BOURGNEUF-EN-RETZ (44) et non pas à Bourgneuf (17). Une telle confusion ne fait pas très sérieux pour une entreprise de cartographie.
