The Stadtische Kunstsammlungen are housed in two separate buildings. The first rooms are the Schaezler-Palais galleries containing works by German Baroque masters. The huge Banqueting Hall boasts a ceiling decorated with Rococo stuccowork and frescoes. A second gallery of paintings exhibits works by 15C and 16C Augsburgan and Swabian masters, including a painting of the Schwarz family by Hans Holbein the Elder and the famous Portrait of Jakob Fugger the Wealthy by Albrecht Dürer. Works by Van Dyck, Tiepolo and Veronese can be admired on the second floor.
