This large abbey church, lying next to a Protestant church bearing the same name, this being characteristic of Augsburg, was founded c 1500. At the end of the tall central nave with its ribbed vaulting are three Baroque altars: in the choir, the Nativity , to the right the Resurrection and to the left the Pentecostal Altar. At the transept crossing is a bronze group of the Crucifixion dating from 1607. See St-Simpert's chapel with its balcony surmounted by Statues of the Saints.
