This charming health resort features numerous half-timbered houses. Among the 17C and 18C houses, note in particular the Engel Guesthouse, which is said to be the finest Renaissance building in the Palatinate. The palace with its sturdy round towers was built in the early 18C on the site of an old fort, of which only the polygonal staircase survives.
