These pleasant grounds are the setting for the Trumpeter's palace, built c 1600 essentially by the lords of Schönau, the stewards of the religious foundation since 1360. The palace now houses a museum containing the largest collection of trumpets in Europe. From the corner of the park, featuring a mini-golf course, there is a good view of the old wooden bridge.
