The Wahnfried villa, where the composer lived from 1874 onwards, is now a Mecca for Wagner lovers. The only remaining original feature is its façade. Collections on display evoke the composer's life and the history of the festival. At the end of the garden, Richard and Cosima lie beneath a simple plaque.
