Covering approx. 8 km (5 miles), this gentle bicycle ride stops frequently for questions and photos. Cycle the length of East Berlin's former main boulevard to the longest-remaining stretch of wall. Skirt along over 1 km (0.5 miles) of graffiti-covered wall and discover how this barrier affected Berlin. Your guide will reveal how the Allies and the East German secret police (theStasi) employed espionage, as well as chronicling the downfall of communism and the Berlin airlift. The stark differences between the two sides of the wall are depicted as you trace the fault line where the wall used to stand. Stop for lunch in a traditional East Berlin restaurant before continuing to two Allied checkpoints, Potsdamer Platz, and the Brandenburg Gate.Important: This tour is in English only.
