The DaimlerChrysler headquarters, which is reflected in the water beneath it, is one of the finest buildings in the district. It stands beside the Tiergarten tunnel gas exhaust chimney, which it has embellished with an immense campanile bearing the company’s logo. The blend of terracotta and glass, a combination dear to its designer Renzo Piano, is clearly evident here.
